March 31 Integrity of The Holy BIble Maintained!"The Holy Bible is The Living Word of God"
Ever since the earliest days of the Church, Christianity has made a critical effort to not copy themes and symbols from other religions. All that one has to do to know that it is truth is to consider the deliberation the Church went through over the Gnostic Gospels, in an effort to keep heretical teachings far from the true Gospel of Christ. If a comparison were made between the God of The Bible and some pagan god, such as by Apostle Paul in Acts 17:23, it was only to display the Power of Christ's Gospel, bringing the message of redemption to that lost Community. The Books of The Holy Bible were given to us by 40 different authors, over a period of 1600 years. All of these are brought together and bound and called "The Book". The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew ( A few short passages in Aramaic) about a hundred years or more before the Christian Era and The Old Testament was translated into Greek language. Old English version is a translation from the original version. The word "Testament" means Covenant or Agreement. The Old Testament is the Covenant or Agreement that God made with the people concerning their Salvation before Christ came. The New Testament is the Covenant or Agreement God mad with the people after Christ came. The Holy Bible is official documents that's integrity has been maintained because of it's being The Living Word of God to the people in regards to substantiating who He is and who we are and what is expected of us to follow and maintain Salvation and Deliverance. It is Life help for relevance in our establishment of principles and maintainences. The Authors were Kings and Princes, Poets and Philosophers, Prophets and Statesman. Some were learned in the arts of the time, while others were unschooled Fisherman. Other books are soon out of date but this book spans the centuries. Most books are Provincial and only interest people in who's language it is written, but not this Book! No one stops to realize that it was written in what are now dead languages. It takes approximately 80 hours to read the entire Holy Bible! The Old Testament Books: Law-Five Historical-Twelve Poetical-Five Prophetical-Seventeen (Major, five;Minor, twelve) The New Testament Books: The New Testament was written to reveal to us the character and teaching of Christ, The Mediator of The New Covenant, by at least eight Men, four of whom-Matthew, John, Peter and Paul-were Apostles; and two Mark and Luke- were Companions of The Apostles; and James and Jude were Brothers of Jesus. The Books were written at various times during the second half of the first Century. The Books in The New Testament may be grouped thus: Gospels-Four History-One Prophesy-One Epistles-Twenty-One (Pauline, thirteen:General, eight) God, humanity, sin, redemption, justification, sanctification, glorification: In two word-Grace and Glory. In one word-JESUS! Bible History takes us back into the unknown past and eternity and it's Prophesies take us into the otherwise unknown future. The Old Testament is the Foundation while The New Testament is The Super-Structure. A foundation is of no value unless a building be built upon it. A building is imposible unless there be a foundation. So The Old Testament and The New Testament are essential to one another. As St. Augustine (St.Augustine, 354-430 A.D., one of the most influential Christians who ever lived) Said: The New is the Old contained The Old is the New explained The New is the Old latent The Old is the New Patent The Old Testament and The New Testament constitute a Devine library, one sublime unity, origins in the past to issues in the future, processes between, connecting two. One Book, One History, One Story! Do You Need a Miracle in Your Life?In 2000 I was struggling along with my family, seeking the Lord and having a difficult time keeping my head above water. I'd been praying, for a good while for a breakthrough on several important issues in our lives, especially health issues and direction and needed souls saved of loved ones. I urgently needed a major over haul and I was feeling very restricted in my ability to perservier. It was only by the Grace of God that I was even able to keep praying. One day driving down the highway, I spotted a sign that said, tent revival. It was really odd because earlier in prayer, to my Heavenly Father, I had recalled and mentioned to Him how great it would be if a Minister of God, as I had heard of, would come to our area, like I heard of happening down in the deep South and we could have a great revival and It would be so awesome. The Churches that I had attended..many of them, were so dry and I and no one I could see was getting fed what they needed to survive. We needed refreshment. A refreshment of our Spirits. We needed Hope restored because we were drying up and it was as though our life was being sucked away. I'd seen in my Spirit, a day comming where there would be a great revival but that day wasa ways off and I and all I knew needed to be watered now. Well.. I saw that sign about the tent revival and kind of queried about it but basically ignored it and the next time as I'm at home sitting on my couch, crying to the Lord, my husband hands me a card that came in the mail. It was a mailing sent out by the Church that was sponsoring that Tent revival , announcing it! I looked at it and it was like hope that I wasn't sure I could accept. I tucked that card into my Bible and I held it as a symbol of a promise from God..kind of like a keepsake souvenier. One day after praying I realized that somehow.. the reminder of the tent revival and my prayers for a tent revival were somehow being dismissed and even though anyone else would've recognized this as an answer, I somehow was ignoring it. Probably a sign of the unbelief, in my own prayers. So then I decided that since things looked comparable to an answer to prayer, it would at least be worth an investigation. Initially I couldn't get anyone to go with me but I was desperate and in need, I found strength in the Lord. I got ready and drove up the river, following the map and signs until I saw the giant tent. It was an awesome sight but scary because I was alone and felt I had to muster every bit of courage to go inside that I could. I prayed and walked in, as in The Lords company. I could feel the Power of the Lord, The Holy Spirit, so powerfully and I attended every night they had this going on for the 3 months I went, except for a few nights, that couldn't be avoided and I received many miracles. I was able to often bring others because they realized in seeing how happy I was and they wanted some of that also and what ever may be waiting for them of the Lord. I had never been slain in the Spirit before and every time except for a few that I went up front.. I was slain in the Spirit. It was so totally awesome! The Holy Bible teaches us that He is a rewarder of those who dilegently seek Him! We must continue to make our requests known unto Him and when we see a possible answer from Him, we must realize that this might just be what I needed and receive it! This Minister and his team were very faithful to the Lord in keeping that revival going. It was costly, I'm certain but it saved my life! I so needed refreshment and so did those that came to this tent. Many received healings of diverse diseases, cancers, people healed that were in wheel chairs, many miracles, much souls saved, people rededicating their lives to Father God! Many marriages were also saved and teens got on fire for the Lord. The Worship music was also so anointed and healing. Towards the end of these tent meetings I felt an intensity as I was up front , wanting to receive of the Lord, once again. One particular time of being slain in the Spirit, my body stiffened as the Healing Evangelist prayed for me and then my body went completely limp as though my own spirit had left. They got me safely to the floor and this particular experience was different in regards to the previous , slain in the Spirit experiences. I was going in and out of conciousness. I would come too and at one point, I had the sensation of wonderful, spartling water running up into and out of my head.. Undiscribable, wonderful, glorious. Who knows how long I had laid there, but when I got up.. I was different! I was completely FREE! Since then, I graduated from Bible college and have had many miracles , signs and Wonders and am actually a Minister of God myself.. I have preached and taught a Bible class and am totally on fire for God! I love Him with all of my heart! Yes.. I was a Minister of God before but.. Not like this! All I can say is Praise the Lord because He is Faithful and really does answer prayers and really is in the Miracle making Business and all Glory to Him! Do you need a Miracle in your life or a refreshment?:)XO "My Healing Testimony!"I was once in the hospital dying because I had 5 holes in my stomach and was loosing blood faster then they could pump it into me. I went into the hospital 155# and was down to 88# and I'm 5'9". I was there for three weeks and was white as a ghost. When the doctors realized that they couldn't stabilize me and had to operate immediately, I signed those papers after the explanation. The operation was scheduled early the following morning. I was awakened in the middle of the night by either an Angel or the Lord. They explained to me that if I allowed them to operate , I would die on the table. I said," Look at me, I'm dying! If I leave they will think I'm crazy!" They then said basically........."Take your pick!" I had tubes and needles coming out of me and into me every where. I knew that as weak as I was , I could easily fall asleep and never wake up on the operating table. I've mentioned how I hate needles, but I started disconnecting everything and pulling out needles. I encouraged and enabled myself in doing this by reminding myself of a cousin that had a drug overdose and ended up in a hospital in Phoenix , Arizona and when he woke up he pulled out all of the needles and escaped. I told myself that if he could do that, so could I. The main needles were on a bar kind of a thing and I couldn't get them out. A nurse entered and imediately said.." What are you doing?" I said," If I stay here I will die on the operating table and I'm taking these out and leaving!" She said that she would do it and she finished removing them. I asked for my clothes, which she said were in a locker in my room and I started trying to get dressed. She got on the phone and came back and told me that I had to walk by myself, all the way to the office and sign myself out. It was hard and I could barely see my hand in front of me, but I made it and I signed out and signed the release that if I died, they wouldn't be held responsible. Then I called my husband and told him to come get me, right now. I lied and told him they had sent me home and decided not to operate on me. I laid on the lawn of the hospital with people watching,waiting and expecting me to pass out, until my husband arrived and picked me up. I was not only in a horrific health state but I was also addicted to Prescription drugs. After the prescriptions I received were maxed out, I bought them under the counter from the pharmasist. When my bottle was half empty, my body would begin to shake. I couldn't walk erect because of the pain. I couldn't even take care of myself, Including combing my own hair, which was long at the time. I was in pain all of the time and could barely have anything to eat. When my husband would leave for work he had to take our child to work with him because I was incapable of taking care of him either. As soon as they were out of ear range in the vehicle.........I would cry out to the Lord in pain and anger and say" If I knew that it was going to be this bad I would have stayed and died on the operating table! I'm no good for me, no good for you and I can't do anything! I can't even take care of my child, anything, anyone!!! I can't believe you would allow this! What about all of the promises you have given to me about the future, etc.!!!" We must always understand that God knows us and our anger and hurts..... He can handle it! He is almighty, all powerful and far able to do well and above what ever we ask or speak. Always be honest with Father God and Know you are loved and every word in the Holy Bible, every verse, every promise is true! He looks after His word to perform it! One evening, when I was again waiting for the day to pass, on the couch, dirty hair, unkept, a car pulled into my driveway. It was a Woman that was a Christian and a friend to my Mother, her Jesus only Sister, an Uncle that practiced witch craft in the past and the woman's Mother. They were on their way to a meeting in a Church, in the city that was advertised as having a Healing Evangelist and his team preaching. There was supposed to be miracles , signs and wonders. They had stopped to see if I would want to go with them. I came up with as many excuses on why I couldn't go , that were basically all ligidiament, considering but they would debunk them with , "This may be your last chance to get healed, etc. !" I ended up getting my hair washed and wearing a pair of dirty jeans. I was certain that I looked horrid. I was sure they would have prefered me to not go, despite their words of assurance. I squeezed into their car and off we went. When We arrived we had to park a good distance form this fancy church because it was a packed out house and with standing room only. As soon as they parked they disappeared and I being in the condition I was had a hard time finding my way into and to this Church. After entering, I was standing in the back, praying no one would see me because they were all dressed up and I looked the way I did. As packed out as this place was, now a days, they would be sited for safety reasons. The Evangelist had a white suit on and white shoes. There was a group of really awesome singers. When this particular Evangelist first stood up to preach......By a word of knowledge, he said," There is someone here with something the matter with their stomach and I've seen this before and if that person doesn't lift their hand, No one will be healed here!" I wanted it to be me but I thought sarcastically," Ya.....sure, how many people here must have something the matter ith their stomach..probably a lot!" I was looking all over for a hand to lift up and at the same time wanting it to be me. I wanted to be healed but not this way! Not where everyone was going to see me. I wanted a private healing, where I could be healed, maybe after church, etc. I felt God owed me this dignity after everything I had been through to give me this....at least! As what seemed like minutes passing...The Evangelist appeared to be getting angry. He began to demand that the person in question would immediately raise their hand or not only would they die but would be preventing others from receiving their healing also! Immediately I knew it was me........All fear of being seen passed and my arm shot up into the air! At that time....I saw a cloud drop on the crowd and I was immediately blinded and People started crying out that they were healed instantly. He said," Yes...It's her!" He sent some ladies back to guide me to the front. I went up onto the platform , blind and he had to pray for me to see again.......but.....I was also healed of everything wrong with my health including,,, I was delivered from my addiction to those prescription drugs! I pray that each of you that reads this, will know that Our God is Able to deliver you......FAR able! What He's done for others, He'll do for you! His ways are past finding out! What He say's in His Holy Word, He will Do and Has! Remind Him of the Promises you believe in as a Born again child of God! For His Glory, In Jesus Holy, Powerful and Perfect name! "My Husband's Wreck and Progressive Healing!"Praise The Lord! I've mentioned in a few of my posts, on the main forum, about my Husband Ron's head- on collision with a freight truck. This wreck happened the same year we were married. To this day we aren't certain how exactly this happened, other then it was in the early morning hours, as he was on his way to go fishing in the Columbia River. He had his gear packed, excited about possibly catching a nice sturgeon. He was just back from Vietnam, It was his day off and he was going to enjoy it doing what he liked most. He remembers hearing someone say, " Don't worry about him, he's dead!" With that , he groaned and this alerted the people on the scene that he wasn't dead yet. An older man and his daughter covered Ron with her new coat, to help keep him from going into shock. Ron's body was a mangled mess..as was the car he was driving. The only thing left untwisted to the car was part of the back seat, which was thrown clear and down the freeway and which he was actually sitting in. Somehow he'd been knocked backwards into it and tossed down the Interstate. He appeared as probably not going to make it. His scalp was peeled back, he had multiple contusions and serious abrasions, a broken jaw with his top front teeth knocked out. His left arm was dangling and nearly severed. Parts of his body had chunks taken out, such as a section of his buttox and a slice out of his leg. He had a puctured eye, punctured lung. All in all initial observations made by physicians gave him 20% chance of making it. He had much nerve damage and for a while almost died from pneumonia and infection. Well......He survived! Much prayer, much therapy, much surgery. Surgeons had to transfer nerves into 2 of his fingers. His arm alone took years of rehabilitation and pain. It was broken a couple of times following that accident due to it's compromised state. Originally they put a long pin in it and later after the pin started working out the elbow, replaced it with claps, screps and bolts. I want you to know that it isn't easy being a survivor. You have to get up off of your depressed state over and over. You have to encourage yourself over and over and you have to set goals and apply yourself and also incorperate others to encourage you and you need people to love you and stand with you in times of urgent need. Sometimes trying to find people to help, by just simply being there can be a trial. The people that love you also are , most often not what you expect will get you to the next level of recovery. When we are hurt and compromised, we aren't the people we thought we were. We discover that the people we thought we would be in case of something severe, isn't how it ended up and it will even disapoint and often disgust or ourselves. Humility is a hard thing to swallow when it is forced upon you. Ron cried often but never allowed himself to believe that his injuries would be permanent or that there would be anything he wouldn't be able to do just as well as anyone else. If he failed the first few times...He kept practicing until he was able to overcome the obstacle. How he managed to maintain his hopes and dreams is one of those mysteries that can only be attributed to a Hope Maintaining God! As his wife..I also discovered at times that I wasn't the most honorable of persons either. I found myself depressed on occassion by the little things, such as his weight loss. He lost so much weight. He had a hard time putting it on and I would get discouraged at my inability to help him and then I would somehow direct the fault back onto him, etc. Often it felt like I was now his mother and I didn't want to have a husband for a child. I asked myself, Who would support me, who would encourage me.. who would love me and help me feel secure now?? To avoid any unneccessary added heartache I began to increase my times alone with Father God as I cried unto Him, He being my strength in time of trouble. Ron and I both grew up and through those difficult times and somehow bonded and strenthened each other through advercity in the God given strength of The Lord! We began to focus on the things we could do rather then the limitations that were probably obvious to others. Our dys were full of activity and no time to waste crying over what could have been or what never was or who knows what! Ron was very good at things and overcoming obstacles and we always seemed to get through each thing. I focused on being the best I could, at what I could and he also encouraged me to percerviere and press into accomplishing great tasks. We both developed much confidence. We pressed in and made sacrifices to prevent anything we needed done to end up going without unnecesarily. I've heard that if we don't exercise ourselves and our Faith against obstckles or weights we will not be able to develope into strong and useful human beings and I believe this. I don't believe we would have accomplished all we had if we never had anything to fight against. Kind of like a body builder that lifts weights, no pain, no gain. You must press through your trials, beleiving in Jesus, Knowing He is far able to do well and above what ever we can ask or speak. I often hear, "Let go and let God", but honestly, that depends on what you are referinig to. We are expected to press in, to press through and faith without works is dead. Ron could have given up , with his extreem compromised state, exhaused emotional state and given into his limitations. We chose to build and you must too. I pray you will build upon the Rock and know that greater is He that is in you then he that is in the world! Know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Ron raised four children and they are all doing great and now he also has eight Grand Children that adore Him and look up to him for being a strong man. One day he will leave them a legacy of love, strength and perservierance through Jesus Christ!
